Asthma

A chronic condition that causes inflammation and narrowing of the airways, leading to wheezing, shortness of breath, and coughing. It is often triggered by allergens, infections, or environmental factors and requires long-term management.

Cough Classification

Coughs are categorised based on duration (acute, subacute, or chronic) and type (dry or productive), helping to determine the underlying cause. Common causes range from infections and allergies to more serious conditions like chronic lung diseases.

Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD)

A group of disorders that cause lung scarring (fibrosis), making it harder to breathe and reducing oxygen absorption. ILD can result from autoimmune diseases, environmental exposures, or unknown causes.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

A progressive lung disease, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema, that causes airflow blockage and breathing difficulties. It is primarily caused by smoking or long-term exposure to lung irritants.

Sleep Apnea (OSA)

A sleep disorder where breathing repeatedly stops and starts due to airway obstruction or brain signaling issues. It can lead to poor sleep quality, daytime fatigue, and increased risk of heart disease and other health complications.
